Has anyone bought and tried the bluray part of it, if so how is it?

We have two of them already; the Blu Ray looks great. :)

Excellent. You must have the good ones. 0.5% of the millions already sold are DOA & there will be a wait for warranty claims apparently.

Still undecided which way to go. Have a PS3 which never gets powered up & a Bravia which does all the other streaming bits.

Are those really not backward compatible for games? I heard that... And I probably won't get one because of it! We have so many games and my ps3 just died. Sure hate buying a ps3 now, but whatever.

I have a PS3 with about half a dozen games which never really got any playtime. I think its the 120GB larger footprint version. The PS4 is not backward compatible.

Sure to be lots of PS3s on the used market.

Check out this game play video comparison PS4 vs XO. Which looks better?

XO for me

I just cancelled my XO order. Not compelling enough right now. I'll reevaluate next year... For now, more dollars for audio.

Matt...I think there'll be a few firmware updates to fix early platform issues by then.

XO component & channel gesturing for those with compatible HDMI control & passthru will be interesting.

I wonder if I would be able to "speak & wave" to my Denon AVP which has HDMI passthru & control? Interestingly, that would also power up & control the McIntosh gear that is routed on the HT side...

I almost kept the pre-order just for this, but I decided I'm better of not being an early adopter in this case.
