My quest for the perfect gear fan, solved.

I always keep an eye out for great cooling products; both for myself, and my customers.

I recently came across the Aircom T9 which is AC Infinity's Flagship Cooling product. This unit simply sits on top of your equipment, and the on board controller monitors the heat, and adjusts the fan speed accordingly. There are multiple modes of operation, and user selectable custom settings. Even a lights out mode, in case the unit will be visible.

I installed mine on my McIntosh MX-150 processor, which always seem to run too hot. This is the best made product of its kind period. Construction is all metal, and can even support a component on top up to 30 pounds.

Here is a photo of the unit on top of a Blu Ray player. AC Infinity makes many cooling fan solutions, all based around their amazing digital controller. The system is expandable, and most importantly quiet. The value here is incredible, as the Aircom T9 retails for $99.99

I will post my actual installation photos shortly. :ok:

Their website Banner is below; check them out! They are also our newest AA Sponsor.

I can also vouch for their products.

I use an Airplate T9 in the back of my rack system to vent any hot air out. Their controller is easy to use but most of all, the fans are quiet.

They are very cost effective compared to other products.

If you have Marantz gear, it sure looks like a match! Very classy looking.

I have the cooling fans with us controller in my rack system. Very quite and very inexpensive.

+1! I have a lot of my gear inside a cabinet with minimal ventilation. This would be ideal for my use.

jameslrock 05-03-2017 09:05 PM

Ivan: I found them earlier today through my own search and low and behold they are on AA. Glad to know they are now here. Which did you go with on top the MX-150? Rear vent T8 or top vent T9? Jim

Sharp 1080 05-04-2017 10:20 AM

Thanks for the information Ivan. I may need one of these for the Marantz I ordered from you. I need to first confirm I have enough room inside the cabinet. :music:

Vern... If you don't have room for this super low profile fan, you are definitely in trouble. ;)

You can order it from their website but the shipping is prohibitive... Shipping is almost as expensive as the unit itself.

Correct! :ok:

Grasshopper 05-05-2017 10:35 PM

Cool! That T9 looks slick.

I bet it would tame the AVR that I could cook eggs on otherwise.

Masterlu 05-05-2017 11:21 PM

At less than $100 these are a no brainer, and in stock.

EfeTe 05-07-2017 03:20 PM

I keep mine at 85 degrees with the Aircom T9

prk504 07-31-2017 11:52 PM

This type of cooling system would be perfect if they made a version with a 12v trigger control...or even a 12v trigger control for their smaller systems.
I'm using the 2x 120mm cooling system for a reciever now and it works great.
