Because I already have 7 sports cars.

Ivan, have you thought about the newly redesigned Cayenne? We went to a launch event for them a couple of weeks ago, and they are pretty nice. They have lost 400 lbs. versus the previous generation, added horsepower to the V-8's, and have a hybrid coming out in October that has a 333 hp supercharged V-6 & a 47 hp electric motor.

As I'm sure you know, the Cayenne, Toureg, and Q7 all have a shared architecture. Do you know if the 2011 Q7's are based on the updated platform?

The Cayenne was my first choice, but the closest dealer is in Boston and that's not going to happen.

Unknown on the Q7 platform, but I will find out. They are going to give me one for a few days to play with first.

I know that there are a lot of Cayenne drivers here.

I bought a Toureg not too long ago and LOVE it!!

I think the A7's are the best looking small SUV out there.

Ivan, it looks like the 2011 Q7's will no longer offer a gasoline engine V-8. There will be a couple of V-6's, one of which will be the 333 hp supercharged V-6 that will also be used for the gasoline engine portion of the Cayenne Hybrid's powertrain. The Q7 will continue to offer the 4.2 liter TDI diesel engine. I also understand that Volkswagen is also dropping the gasoline engine V-8 option in the 2011 Toureg.

I found the Q7 a bit bigger and heavier than I like. I have no need for third row seating so that means carrying an extra 250lbs all the time for the extra space. Our Q5 is just ok, it does't do anything wrong but my wife is itching to get back into a BMW after just one year.

Ivan, if the Porsche dealer is too far away, get an X5M/X6M. They are a better value than a Turbo Cayenne anyways. Incredible performance and handling without any harshness from the suspension. I doubt you will be happy with anything else. I love my X5M!
