Lilium or Il Cremonese
Anyone have any experience with either of these speakers in a smaller room? Mine’s 13’ x 23’ but speakers need to be on the long wall, so they end up fairly close to the wall.

My room is similar and fear both these speaker's tweeter would be too high.

I heard the Liliums and the Aidas on the same day.
I think the Liliums are closer to the Aidas than to the Il Cremoneses. Luflu Tony?! :D |

Thanks Bart - just thinking, probably nothing will come of it. |

If it ain't broke... But then again, a nice pair of Liliums in your room... :naughty: Other possibility: a pair of subs for that lowest bass. |
If it ain’t broke... break it. :D

Antonmb, if you are considering moving up the SF line another way to go is backwards in time...to Strads. I went from Amati Futuras to Strads and am very pleased with the upgrade. Yes they are 15 year old speakers but look pristine and sound great. You can get a pair for $17,000-$20,000. They provide much bigger scale, deeper bass, greater dynamics and the same or better midrange beauty you are used to. At first I was hesitant about making the move given the age and "older" technology, but once I heard them in my room all that went away.

Thanks Dave, I appreciate the suggestion, but the Strads won’t fit in my space, and at this stage in my journey I prefer purchasing from a local dealer who can install and support. |
