MX-R Twenty Amp Stands?

What are people using?

Normal amp stands look too big holding just one, but there aren't many "half width" amp stands out there.

I no longer own any Ayre gear but have always ended up using custom made stands to get it right the first time. Depending on what your budget is plays a big role? Sound Anchors, Steve Blinn designs, and HRS are the three I have used to build stands.

I used HRS M3 custom stands for my MX-Rs (current model will be HRS M3X-1419-2AYR MXR). I've actually repurposed them for use with my M400s (you just change out the feet for different loads) since the dimensions are very similar in terms of length and width.

Previously I used stands, but now simply use 3 StillPoints Ultra SS's under each MRX20.

Do stands and stillpoints actually make a sonic improvement?

They do, but in my case the more important purpose is to get the amps up off the carpet for proper ventilation.

Personally I use stands but have the amps resting atop sets of Ayre's Myrtle wood blocks placed on the stands.

Contact Arnold Marr at Core Audio Designs. He will hook you up with something amazing.

Harmonic Resolution Systems makes incredible looking stuff but very expensive. Like, component expensive.

The new 8 series integrated is being demonstrated on one of their racks this weekend.

In the case of Stillpoints, yes, as they do under almost everything in the chain, with the exception of turntables.

I obtained conflicting results with Stillpoints. If you try them be sure to remove them a few weeks later to see if the "improvement" is still what you want. Maybe yes, maybe no.
