Bryston Support: A+

Thanks to Bryston for prompt and helpful phone support with my BDP-3, I now have "Peace of Mind" because Adam got me back on track. The problem ended up being remarkably simple, but that's easy to say after the fact.

I have found that Bryston products always deliver. In audio, that puts them in an exclusive club.

Indeed!
Adam also mentioned that what he called "OS3" will be released very soon.

Bryston customer support has always been stellar reguardless of how user (me) error the issue was.

OS3 AKA Nutty Narwhal is the (long awaited) replacement to Manic Moose, the current OS for BDP's. Despite being great sounding and very stable, the Moose's handling of Qobuz files (and Tidal I assume) is a bit frumpy. Also, I summize the folks at Bryston wanted to keep the new OS compatable back to the BDP 1; most certainly making its development a daunting task if even possible.

For now, a happy camper here with the Moose & BDP/BDA3's.

Enjoy the Sounds,

John

BTW, there has been several threads on Nutty Narwhal under the Bryston section of audiocircle.com

I will add to this thread.
Happy Bryston system owner (thank you Ivan). I have the BP-17 cubed pre-amp, zero issues. Packing it up as we are moving into a new home shortly.
Brought the box down from the attic, and after 3 years found the BR-4 remote tucked into the foam (exactly where it should be; I never looked for it as I was not expecting it.)

Went online and saw this from Bryston- "starting in March 2020, we will pack a BR-4 with each BP-17 cubed. " March 2020 is exactly when I ordered the unit, coincident with the Covid national shutdown.

So, kudos to Bryston for keeping their promise and I do feel a bit silly, but in our set-up a remote is not critical.

Happy camper, but it will be a couple of months before it is unpacked again.
