Looks nice.
|
This is good news
|
This one will not play SACD I think.
Wait for D08X and I hope that will do everything. |

In this day and age, I can't see the point of a non-universal player quite frankly. |

Looking forward to their D-08u replacement.

MQA CD is a new format in japan.
It can be played by any CD player. But with something like Luxman D03x, it will unfolded And give higher resolution. https://www.universal-music.co.jp/in...nal/mqa-uhqcd/ |
The official launch date is in November at TIAV2019.

Any updates on these releases

Stopped by my local dealer today and he just received the D-03x CD player. Wasn't hooked up. I'd like to hear it. Price is $3300. The internal DAC converts full MQA.

LUXMAN MQA CD Player
Impulse purchase of the D-03X. Arrives Monday and will post pictures. Hopefully it’s good as there isn’t any real feedback from anyone just yet.

Unfortunately, I haven’t had time to post a detailed opinion about it yet. Hope to get something up this week! |
The Luxman D-10X (and D-03X) appear in the Luxman America 2020 Full Line Catalog (p 11) with footnote that appearance/specs subject to change prior to launch date. At this point it appears that the D-03X has been launched, but the D-10X not yet.

After much consideration between the Esoteric K-01XD, Lux D-10x & Soulnote S-3, all-in-one player cum DAC, chose the Lux D-10x. I won't go into the details, but the Esoteric was always the front runner, until the Lux appeared on this shore for the first time! Skipped the dCS One as its was way way out of my league. I am looking forward to receiving it mid-July.

Have you received your's? I was told mine is back ordered and earliest arrival would likely be Mid August, a month later. Oh well, patience rewards those who can wait ... If you did, share your views, at least I can share your joy and look forward to receiving mine in August (hope they stick to mid Aug and not pushed further back). Cheers |

As per long standing Luxman tradition the XLR output connections have pin 3 as hot (signal) like Burmester, rather than most manufacturers in the world that use pin 2.
Luckily for global users they fitted a ‘phase invert’ button on the front panel to manage this aspect. [emoji106] Anthony |
OK - I changed my mind and ordered one. It will be here on 9/10.

Thanks! |
Yup! Mine finally came on Friday 4th Sep. Beautiful machine and what a blast. I don't know for sure (can never made a direct A/B comparison with Esoteric K-01XD or the dCS Rossini) but first impression is this is one excellent machine. Music simply is so natural and real. Smooth and not a tinge of harshness even for files. Ive posted pictures of my system in another thread so won't be doubling this here. Retirement had never been so busying exciting for me ... listening to music everyday. Looks like my plan to have a spare set of the Takatsuki 300B's is warranted.
