One thing I should add is that as impressive as the OLED sets are today, my older Pioneer Elite Plasma still seems to be a better set after all these years. Too bad I let my ex keep it after the divorce. Of course it was not a 4k back then but it would still go head to head with any of the sets I saw today, including the $8k flagship Sony set. One would think they would have outdone it by now. :scratch2:

What can I say? The combo of LG 4K UHD with Oppo 203 is jaw dropping! Very happy with the purchase.

Update: Glad I went with the 65" model. It has been 2 months and the LG TV is stunning. I enjoy it every evening. I was apprehensive with going for a 65 instead of 55 but in the end it looks terrific and not at all too big for the 12 foot viewing distance. Just right! The 4k UHD material is stunning to say the least but even Bluray movies through the Oppo 4K UHD BDP are incredible. Even Comcast cable feed in HD is very, very good.

Congratulations on what sounds like a killer combo in your LG and Oppo. At 12' back, do you see any difference between 4K and 1080p? I'd think you might with a 65" set. And I agree that you made a good move going with that size rather than a 55", given your distance from the set. |
