Advantage > Canton Ref K1’s by a huge margin.

haha, talk about opposite ends of the spectrum in setting up/placement... Canton Ref series vs. Strads.

I hope you feel well enough to get out and audition some speakers soon. I know it’s hard to do and will involve some travel. The speakers you listed are all very different and may or may not be better than the outstanding speakers you already own and enjoy. Such is life in the stratosphere. :)

oh, right - the audio-smuggling bonus room set-up.

So, um, Ivan, have you ever had the chance to listen to, say, the Aerial 20T's vs the Canton Ref 1K's in, say, I dunno, some sort of side-by-side comparison?

The Cantons make the Aerials look diminutive.

you should look at dynaudio confidence 30/50 or 60, superb speakers

Yes, I can switch them back & forth instantly.

Politics aside, I'd like to know about that RtR in the picture Stephen posted.

While at the opposite end of the size spectrum, my Canton Ref 9K speakers sounded their best with tubes. That being said, not sure if 36wpc is enough for the MAXX, but you could ask what folks think in the Wilson forum here. Same with the other two speakers you mention. Ask in that particular forum.

Sorry, I apologize.
I didn't intend to say the CJ amp ART 27A was not a high end amp.
It definitely is.
I meant it is not a high WPC amp, and may not properly drive less efficient speakers. I know my Aerials are efficient and sound great, but I always wonder which would be the next step to upgrade the sound quality.
I don't normally listen to extremely loud wall cracking music, but sometimes I do crank it up.
I want to try and visit a couple dealers that are about 90 minutes drive each way. They carry Wilson and several other brands of speakers.
Thanks!

I thought you loved the Sonus Faber Stradivari's ?
You say the Cantons are the best of all 3? Even the Wilson Maxx 3?
I wish I could have auditioned the systems at your home when I was up there a few months ago.
I ended up in the ER and then returned home right after.

Will look into them.
Thanks!
