BDA-3.14 Need Help

I have a Bryston BDA-3.14. The manual states that "The BDA-3.14 can only maintain one active USB handshake at a time. Some digital USB sources such as Bryston BDPs will require you to reinitialize the USB audio device when switching between USB inputs". Could someone please explain to me the meaning of "....reinitialize the USB audio device when switching between USB inputs" and how it is done. Thanks

The Bryston help/contact on their website is quick about replying to questions. But, I tend to agree with Cleeds
