Urc & MX150

For those of us that have or will be getting an MX150 and will be using any URC remote, you will find this most interesting.

Although the URC remotes have no trouble learning the MX150 codes manually; there are issues.

The IR codes that the HR070 (MX150 remote) puts out are a bit different than others.

Yesterday proved to be a long learning curve, and this post will save lots of time and frustration. Once learned and used the normal commands seem to be sent in succession; in other words if you are in the menu and hit the down arrow once, it will move 2 or 3 lines.

The same is true for all commands, hit mute and it will probably mute & unmute. This is normally fine for volume as 2 or 3 increments on the gain control is OK. Everything else quickly becomes a nusance.

OK, here is the advanced fix:

When you have your CCP open and have the troubled button with code previously learned, click it once. The command will appear in the macro box, lower right corner. Double click the command there; this will bring up the IR setting box where you can select if the command is to be repeated and more importantly edit the duration of the blast. The default is 3, by lowering this down to 1 and deselecting repeat you will have a perfect clone of the factory remote commands.

I just saved you a full afternoon and 4 advils!

Does anyone know where to find the serial commands for the MX150? CCP seems to only include older models.
