This one has been one of my favorites of the favorites. One of my college roommates now owns JBA Racing in S. Cal. He was a Shelby influence to me. Coolest car I've ever driven.

jetblack......That is one sweet Shelby Cobra Mustang. Pardon me, but I had to blow the picture up. Old eyes, you know. :D

thisOne.......Seeing the black C1 Corvette in your photos brought back a memory for me.

When I was about 15 years old there was a girl named Laura that lived down the road and around the corner from me. Her father owned a red Corvette C1. It had the old Blue Flame six cylinder engine, with the three carb set up. Her father use to leave it parked in the driveway on clear nights with the top off. I would slip out of the house about 1:00 AM, walk down the road, tap on Laura's bedroom window, and she would come outside with the keys to the Corvette. We would push it out of the driveway, and far enough down the street so her dad couldn't hear it crank up, then Laura and I would drive around the neighborhood for 20 minutes or so, then turn the engine off and coast the Corvette back up into the driveway. We never gave much thought about being caught by her dad or the cops. We were just having fun. Thank goodness, we never got caught. :yeeea:

The Corvair Monza Spider was a fairly popular car when I was young. The Spider model was pretty quick, and had a great exhust tone.
