Congrats on your Lumins. I've read that they sound terrific. I will be listening to a friend's Lumin next weekend. Looking forward to it!

Thanks much! I was very happy with the A1 for the short time I had it and expect the S1 to allow me to enjoy DSD128 stuff even more. My system has never sounded so good, some of which I can attribute to the WW gold balanced interconnects supplied by one of the "moderators". With well-recorded high definition material and closing eyes, the equipment simply disappears leaving nothing but live performers suspended almost holographically in front of me.

Also, the build quality of the main unit is exemplary and tank-like (try hefting your friend's) and the external power supply is done quite well as well. Let me know which Lumin you listened to at your friend's place and what you though!

I have been a Lumin A-1 owner since January and continue to be extremely pleased, so much so that my extremely fine analogue source gets surprisingly little use. It is my belief that it competes very well with players selling for more than 10X what I paid. Some audiophiles may need to spend absurd $'s to be assured they own the best. Fortunately I don't. In terms of satisfaction, I think this comes close enough.

Received my S1 before going on holiday and heard some very delicious sounds from DSD128 files but did not have much time to play. I'm a little bit disappointed that it won't play FLAC above 192khz but maybe with a f/w update who knows.....

Aldo part of happy Lumin owners.
I have kept my Esoteric player but hardly use it by now...
DSD 128 files are outstanding. They nevertheless represent a very limited Number of recordings.
