You won't be disappointed based on my DAC1.

Why the long wait???

I might just ride up and pick it up for you..

Thinking about going that way to buy some vinyl anyway...

The Dac-2 is currently on backorder until the middle of next month, hence the wait. Thanks for the offer though.

If you're in the area, maybe shoot them an email asking for a demo. :music:

Face.....

Awesome that your Dac 2 is arriving soon. I hope mine is not too far behind a I just ordered a Mac Mini to use as a music server and really need the dac.

Well I have been using the W4S Dac 2 now for several weeks.

I have to say that they hit a home run with this piece. The feature set and wide range of inputs is really nice, but the sound is out of this world.

This is the fourth dac I have owned and it is not going anywhere. I always seem to prefer the ESS based d/a converters and Wyred's implementation of this latest version is stunning.

This unit works very well with all inputs, but sounds really spectacular with the I2S input from the PS Audio Perfectwave Transport. It allows my Mac Mini to really shine and will allow high resolution formats with excellent results via the USB input.

This is one piece, especially given the price, that I can recommend without any hesitation. The frequency extension, soundstage presentation and the natural analog like presentation are well beyond units i have owned that cost a lot more.

My impressions mirror yours Audio 1, I don't see myself parting with the unit anytime soon.
