Ivan,

The only pre-ban AR I've handled was my issued M-16 back in the day. It wasn't all that accurate but we did have fun at full auto. :)

Steve,

Those are nice gats!!!

Dan,

That's quite the list and you did well with your choices!

I have everything I could think of on it; Surefire tac-light (500 lumens) blue night navigation LED's. ACOG top sight; red, green, laser sights, tactical charging handle. ;)

Welllllll............. my Robert Whitely EBR in Turbo40Imp would hold the X-ring at 600yd when I did my part. That's pretty accurate (sub-1/2moa).

Our mid-range course record is a perfect 600 with 39-X (out of 60) at 600yd with an EBR (forgotten which round he was shooting). That was with aperture sights (not a scope).

Just been notified my 6mmDasher is ready so will have to pick it up when I'm back in town next week.

Gotta luv all the 'evilness'.

Glenn, as we've spoken and you know, in the 100 and 200 yd disciplines, bolt action 6PPC still rules ! I know of no 'black gun' that could put five rounds inside my pinky finger nail @ 100 yds and still loose the match !

Start with a simple build, become the best shooter you can with that configuration, then only add things to your rifle that will make you a better shooter.

I agree. I just want a good foundation to build upon.

Once I decide on the upper and lower, the build begins!
