C70 Anniversary Edition

Quick question: Someone is telling me that the C70 Anniversary Editions that don't indicate on the front "#---- out of 70" are used units that McIntosh slapped the "Anniversary Edition" wording on....that it's really not the authentic anniversary edition and could have been built 10 years ago. This doesn't make sense to me...I think that it had to have been built in 2019...thoughts?

Also, what do people think of this preamp?

The first 70 C70 (LE version) had the "#---out of 70" and were sold as a commemorative
set with the MC 2152 power amplifiers.

At the same time (2018) the C70 (regular version) was sold as a stand-alone unit.
