The track Albedo 0.39 is pure magic…goosebumps

To his credit he elevated the fickle Yamaha CS-80 to one of the most expressive musical instruments ever, in part through his mastery of the CS-80’s Ring Modulator and aftertouch keyboard combo.

Very sad day. One of the most prolific composer of our time.
I discovered Vangelis back in 1992 with its music score for the 1492: conquest of paradise movie. This is an all time favorite for me and whenever I listen to this one it feels I listen to it for the first time. It’s a masterpiece. RIP Vangelis, you will be missed.

Very sad indeed. I remember the first time I heard Quad ESL 63's they were demoed with the Theme from Chariots of Fire. I bought the soundtrack on vinyl. Another favorite recording of his I acquired was China on Japanese press.
