USB to SPDIF converter with Roon Recommendation
I’d like to buy a USB to SPDIF converter that works with Roon to feed an external DAC via SPDIF. I have Roon running on a Macmini and the external DAC I’d like to use does not have USB.
I’ve seen quite a few around from inexpensive to older stuff from 5-7 years ago. Seems like some of the more well known companies have made then in the past (Bryston BUC, Bel Canto uLink, etc). Amazon has some cheap one from Douk audio for around $50. Anyone have any experience with this type of converter with Roon? Thank you |
Douk ee’ Audio? :laughin:

[emoji23] , yea probably not the one to get. |
I've actually used a couple of Douk Audio U2 PRO's and had great success with them. They're strong little devices using the XMOS processor that also supports I2C and DoP if you're into that. I'd recommend it as a great starting point.
