Very nice.
We are just back from our winter sojourn to Villefranche-sur-mer. 3 or 4 evenings a week a fleet of small sailboats (never got close enough to identify the class - smaller than J24s, but not by much) would sail out of Port Darse for a training race. Often as many as a couple of dozen.

I don’t know anything about the sailboat class. We have a home in Sopo, Portugal and spend July, August, and September there to get away from the North Carolina summer humidity. The 1 hour drive to Baiona, Spain to stay at my father-in-laws condo. Great food, wine, and weather. Might decide to stay there permanently one day. Also discovered a fantastic audio dealer in Porto, Portugal.

Very nice. We spent a week last May along the "Green Coast" of Spain in Santiago de Compostela, a terrific old city with much to see other than the cathedral, and Bilbao before heading to Biarritz & Bordeaux. As you state, great food, wine & weather from April until October.
It is always a difficult choice for us whether to spend our time there or on the French Riviera to escape our winter. Thus far, the sun & warmth of the Riviera is winning out, but we are thinking we may start doing both (winter & summer). A river cruise on the Douro is very high on our list of "must do" trips. So pleasant in both areas at the right time of year.
