Serge, beautiful interpretation by Hilary Hahn!

In a different register the title made me think of Youn Sun Nah's touching rendition of Marvin Gaye's 'Mercy Mercy Me'

I have been moved by "Hymn To The Fallen" ever since I heard it in "Saving Private Ryan".

Kathrine Jenkins does a nice version.

Jim, what can I say? Powerful and emotional indeed. The movie is a powerhouse in itself. I’ve watched it at least a dozen times since 1998.

If this performance doesn’t tear through your soul and leave you speechless and in chills, better check your pulse and make sure you are still alive...

Incredible.

So if I have different taste and don’t find Richter’s music moves me or tears through my soul, that means I’m dead????

Tony, not sure what the point of your post was... If it didn’t move you, it didn’t move you. Why take things so literally?

I wanted to share because it moved me and I thought others may enjoy it.

Your contribution could have been something that moves you instead.

Sorry Serge, I’m sure you didn’t mean anything by it, but essentially your post said you were moved by that performance, and if I wasn’t, better check to make sure I’m still alive. Which pretty much translates as if I’m not moved by what moves you, then I don’t have a heart. I appreciate that you’re moved by it, just not the insinuation that there’s something wrong with me if I’m not. We each have our own tastes.
