New AD-50 Phono Board
Accuphase just released their new AD-50 Phono Board. It will be replacing the existing AD-30.
PS: Glenn, no worries I upgraded you to the brand new AD-50 at n/c :ok: |
Very nice. Thank you, Ivan. I'll post my thoughts once the AD-50 is broken-in and has some run-time. Of course, it has to arrive and I have to return home, first.
Any info what the changes between the AD-50 and predecessor AD-30 might be? |

Ivan: Is there also a new dac-50? Thanks!

The brochure for the new E-650 http://www.accuphase.com/model/e-650.html lists both the DAC-40 & DAC-50 as available cards.

Smooth and detailed. Does a good job with all three of my LOMCs. Have not spent any time using it with MM cartridges. Nice to have the various settings available. Am sure Ivan can 'hook you up' with an AD-50.

I am new here, so I cannot yet post a thread, but I figured perhaps I would ask my question here. I am looking to purchase an E650 to be a mostly all in one system. I am moving to a new house and would prefer a less conspicuous Hifi system, and a one or two box system with Accuphase would both sound better and be more understated than what I currently own.
At the moment, I am using a Conrad Johnson EV1 phono stage and a Music Hall MMF9.1 with a Shelter 501 (V2 I believe) cartridge. Do you all think that AD50 would be an improvement over the EV1? I have been thinking to eventually change the MMF 9 to a Linn LP12 or Luxman PD 171 turntable. Sorry if this question is out of line here... Thanks for the help! |
