Finally ready for my Tannoy's
Hello,
After a move to Colorado and buying a new house I got far off the audio path! I am finally ready to get the Tannoy's but I am having trouble deciding between the Cheviot's and the Arden's. My room is (LxWXH) 16.5 x 14 x 9. I think both speakers will fit easily with my current setup but I am unsure about room size with the sound of the speakers. When I am in the listening position I would have about 9 ft or so from me and the speaker. Every review I have read seems to indicate the Arden's need room to breathe, but no one seems to state what that actually means or will quantify that into a room size. If it matters these will be paired with the EVO 400 power amp. |
All of the front-ported Tannoy’s are pretty forgiving when it comes to placement. I have my Canterbury’s in a 13x14 room and they don’t feel too big for the space.

That gives me a good idea. I tired to called Ivan today To discuss but I’m not sure they are open. Thanks |

Congrats on the new house and Tannoys.
I have some dual concentric tannoys in a spare bedroom for surround sound and like them. Where in Colorado are you? |

I’m leaning toward the Cheviot’s. Do you carry Nordost? Also, the unit I was looking for was the Primaluna Evo 400 power amp. Thanks! |
