question, what is the 400 hz number in the crossover spec? It is a three way speaker but crossovers say 180 / 400 / 2800.

Early 1K specs from Canton does not have the 400 hz spec.

Could it be that one of the 12» drivers play up to 400 hz to make the load easier for the 6,8 inch mid driver?

Dag… The Canton Ref 1K is a 3-way ported speaker; hence it has 3 crossover points. Earlier specs on the 1K that say different is merely a typo.

3-way speakers have 2 crossover points right? My 4-way Infinity speakers have three crossoverpoints, 180/750/3750. This is why I wonder.
My 3-way Piegas have 450/3800.

Not trying to be difficult 😅

See above specs; 3 way speaker w/ 3 crossover points. However you aren’t wrong; a 3 way speaker can also have 2 crossover points. It all comes down to the engineering and design.
