Here is the remote I am looking for, voice command. With the exception of one button on the voice transmitter to turn it on/off there would be no buttons, no graphic touch screens, just speak and it happens. Ideally the voice command piece would not be an ear piece like what is shown, but perhaps a similar WiFi device that would clip to a shirt placket, collar, or lapel.

>Preamp on

>Preamp Select Server

>Server play Keb Mo - The Door

>Preamp volume up 6 dB

>Server stop

>Preamp - Off

It seems simple enough to implement. Voice recognition software, WiFi connected infrared transmitter, similar to the way the RedEye Remote works but using voice only from a WiFi connected transmitter. The infrared base transmitter would have a code data base built in, plus learning capabilities. This is a product waiting to be born.

That's a remote control I would have to purchase. Eliminate the ear clip, eliminate duplex transmission since one way transmitted voice commands are all that would be needed, and install a lapel clip on the rear. Bingo, voice activate WiFi to infrared remote control.

Does it seem like voice activated remote control is a viable idea?

Ivan.......THAT code has yet to be written by anyone, but I believe your idea was the original motivating factor for inventing duct tape and handcuffs. . :D . :lmao:

Ivan.......Install on of these on the two channel room door. When you hear a voice or footsteps, a single touch of the remote control button ensures you continued privacy. :D
