This is an outstanding video; I highly recommend all potential, and current Shunyata owners view it at least once.

Great video, thank you for sharing with us.

One tidbit I found interesting is Carlin's use of the word "settling," as differentiated from break-in. I have used that same term in my own mind for years, so I am happy to know it's not just my own imagination at work. Or, at the very least, it's a shared hallucination.

No, its not a shared hallucination. It's real. One of the noise factors that diminishes with settling is triboelectric noise.

I know for certain it is real, since I trust my own hearing. Having worked on the retail side of audio in the 80's I got some good ear training.

And I would like to thank you for all your reviews and discussions of Shunyata products, your voice was an important influence in my purchasing a Venom 16 and Venom NR PC's earlier this year. My system has been transformed.

Oh, thanks. Personally, I as a scientist, I like their rigorous, scientifically-based approach to product development. Their products have transformed my system, too. They stand behind them, too. I purchased their Venom-X speaker cables (which are frickin' AMAZING for the price-WHOA!) for use with my GR-Research Encore XLS speakers, which because of their "tube connectors" that Danny likes to use mandatorily require a banana plug on the speaker end of the cable, and I accidentally got one of the STIS system banana connectors cross-threaded in the female STIS "receiver" and couldn't get it out. I sent the cables back to them for repair, and they repaired the STIS termination for me.
