VAC looks beautiful.

I'll have to revisit. The music being played during my visit did not sound as good.

Ivan.......I am 100% positive I could replace my complete studio system with this VAC, Esoteric, Tannoy system and never miss my old system. This is a premium sound system in anyone's book.

It is an impressive looking system. It was not my cup of tea upon my second visit.

Mike.......I would suspect that a system like this one would have to be meticulously dialed into an acoustically treated room and the selection of all cabling would have to be synergistic with the components. There is a strong possibility that the components were far from broke in, as well. I believe this system can be a show stopper with proper setup in a good room. I'm just taking an educated guess here, but I think we are looking at about a quarter million dollars worth of components, speakers, rack and wire. I believe I could tweak this system into high gear.

I think you would want to hear that set-up before you made a decision. They were very limited in the musical offering as I sat thru the system demo. I would have liked to hear more complex offerings with a bit more pace. On strings they were marvelous.

Being a huge Tannoy fan, I visited this room everyday. First the music was quite plain, next it was better, and Sunday I listened to three songs from Trans-Siberian Orchestra...
The system rocked the house! OTOH, fortunately I am happy with my Canterbury SE's and
Decware Zen Torii III which is paid for!

As excellent as the gear and sound is with this system, I just don't care for the looks of these particular Tannoy's. I much prefer their classic, traditional all-wood look.
