Matias.......According to the sticker on the enclosure, this is only an EMI filter, not an RFI/EMI filter. The box would need to be installed inside a grounded metal junction box with the proper load receptacle for your amplifier plug. Although the device states it is rated for 10 amp loads I would be less than confident about that rating. The McIntosh MC452 is rated at 120V ~ 50/60Hz at 10 Amps, 230V ~ 50/60Hz at 6 Amps. This would make me think the MC452 would work with this device in line on the supply voltage but personally I don't think I would ever put such a device on my audio system's power line. I would be concerned about failure and lowered electrical supply performance with something like this powering my amplifier.

What exactly is the issue you are trying to resolve?

Hi Dan, i have 452 in 220V. I can obtain filter 20A. I have saw many outlets with one inside.
for example this Furutech AC outlet.

Matias.......I hate to say it but that doesn't look like anything Furutech would manufacture. That looks more like some homemade contraption.

Mike.......Well okay, it's a Furutech product, albeit a seven year old embarrassment to the quality level Furutech manufacturers today. Just between you and me, I wouldn't own and use that product if it was given to me. Just sayin'.....:dunno:

I agree, especially at $1000. That RFI filter is $32 at Mouser and the outlets...maybe $225 total if they used quality outlets. :scratch2:

I have seen this type filter used regularly in military equipment, they are usually very reliable for years of service. I cannot speak of its sound quality in audio applications.
