Yes, closed is one of the things that makes these interesting for me as well, plus in my experience Dan Clark are among the most comfortable closed.

FWIW, the very best headphone that I heard/owned, are the Meze Empyrean’s by a wide Margin.

At last count; I have 14 pairs of cans.

I have the two Focal beryllium headphones (closed and open) but the Meze Empyrean and now Empyrean Elite just gives me goosebumps every time.

You don’t even need crazy power. I find even the Chord MojoPoly is enough to draw me in. But the Hugo 2 and 2Go is just beautiful icing on top.

The Meze Elite review I read also mentioned splendid results with the Chord Hugo 2.

Quick update….nearing the 30 hour mark…things are definitely changing for the better. Still on the single ended cable…shipping issues with the pentaconn

I'm happy for you Jacques!
Why don't you let it play 24/7?

Received the Pentaconn…but the 1,1m lenght instead of the 1,8m I ordered…so listening time was limited.

It would seem though that balanced is the way to go with the DCA Stealth.

Crossed the 50 hours mark some time ago and “the Bass” has definitely awakened. Although the Stealth will never be a skull crushing bass monster, a balanced connection adds just that wee bit of punch/slam that I find lacking with the unbalanced connection.

As the Stealth is so clean and open sounding I catch myself turning up the volume…have to be careful with that.

So, what do you think Jacques, should I put these on my Christmas list? I have a Woo Audio balanced amp to feed them.
