Thought it might be good to share new music found on roon or roon playlists. Roon recommended a country artist Walker Hayes - Country Music and I’m not usually a big listener to this genre but have to say it’s a pretty good album.

I have found that Roon has some very good algorithms for recommending Artists and Songs that I might like.

Agreed (Roon discovery). Like reading the bio and history for context. Roon convert.

I sometimes dedicate entire listening sessions just to sample through the new releases provided by Qobuz through ROON. I may only listen to a few notes or might listen to an entire song then album. It’s not something I want to do every time I sit down as it can be habit forming. I force myself to listen to complete albums most times.

The recommendation engine is the biggest reason why I use Roon. It has changed the way I listen to music for the better. I’ve found a bunch of artists I like. Great to try before you buy.

I often play an album I like and have Roon Radio enabled. Once the album is finished Roon starts playing tracks by similar artists or genre. I have found so much new music this way.

One thing I find odd about Roon versus the Tidal app. Each Friday when new music is suggested to me in Tidal “within” Roon the offerings are very different than the new music that is presented to me in the Tidal app.

As good as Roon’s algorithm is in suggesting music in Roon Radio when it comes up short in identifying what new releases it presents each Friday.
