Snake River Farms Gold Grade Steak Collection

Just in case anyone is interested in splurging and getting "The Best":

Gold Grade Steak Collection of 12

This exclusive Snake River Farms Gold Grade beef is the choice of several Michelin starred restaurants. The highest grade that we offer, Gold Grade maintains the traditional flavor that American palates love, combined with the tender, buttery essence of Japanese Wagyu beef. Due to the marbling and unsaturated fat ratio, it is so tender and juicy that you can cut it with a butter knife. All Gold Grade cuts are specially selected, perfectly aged, and hand trimmed. The Gold Grade Collection of 12 includes:

• Four 8-oz. NY Manhattan Cuts

• Four 8-oz. Tenderloin Filets

• Four 8-oz. Filet of Ribeyes

It's expensive...but I'm seriously considering it as a treat to myself. :scratch2:

EDIT: I took some of the "advertising" out of it. Ivan - feel free to remove the direct link if not appropriate.

Well, that decision didn't take me long. My package will arrive in a week from today! I will cook something up special for my wife for our anniversary next weekend!

OK - don't know if I can use words to describe how cool my dinner tonight ended up turning out...

My package of the Snake River Farms Kobe Gold Grade steaks arrived today. I cooked two of the four filet of ribeye steaks for my wife tonight to celebrate our 9 year anniversary. They were AMAZINGLY good - the best tasting steaks I have ever cooked and most definitely equivalent to if not better than the best of any high end steak house I have had in terms of quality and overall flavor. Simple sea salt and pepper, pan seared, and finished off in the oven. Dinner was simple - paired with a beautiful WA state Tenor 2008 Cabernet Savignon and a garden salad. This is BIG TIME! If you have the means to purchase these steaks, and if they are still available, I highly recommend them!

Tonight I cooked my second round of steaks from the Snake River Farms Gold Grade collection - this time the filet mignon, to celebrate my wife's birthday. It was truly outstanding, and at the top of the finest filets I have ever enjoyed!

This collection appears to still be available for purchase - if you are on the fence, and perhaps want to impress your significant other with something at home that rivals the best you will find anywhere (and is EASY to prepare and have it turn out fabulous) - I highly recommend you do it!
