How many times have you changed your Power Conditioner
Hey all.
Was watching this youtube video .https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F7ON3Wo0EKo In all the upgrading I've done along the way in search of audio nirvana, Ive never changed my power conditioner. I have 8 dedicated 20amp lines running directly from my electrical panel to my music room. I have a Bryston BIT20 which I purchased from Ivan...shocking how many times Ivan has given me a better price (including duties, shipping, currency exchange, etc) than my local dealer. I thought there's no reason to upgrade as I have more than enough outlets to plugs components in to. But after watching the Shunyata video and new technology, is there more music to be squeezed out? Your thoughts... |
Yes.
I am a true believer in the Shunyata regime...couldn't go back! |
Too often; that is until I switched everything over to Shunyata.

Long ago in a galaxy far, far away I had a PS Audio PS300...until I purchased an original-version Shunyata conditioner (I still have it feeding my home-office system via a specially-terminated Venom NR power cord). Followed up with a used Shunyata Hydra 8 v.2 that feeds the living-room system and a new Shunyata Delta D6 conditioner that supplies the bedroom system, where I do my "serious" listening.
None of these systems runs off of a dedicated line, so mine's not an "apples-to-apples" comparison for your purposes. But in each instance--including the original-version's "smoking" of the PS300--the audible improvement in system output has been substantial, most notably in soundstage expansion, delineation, and dimensionality, tonal/timbral accuracy and definition, and dynamic scaling. The overall impact is a sonic presentation that's "freer" of the physical placement of the speakers. FWIW. |
Once - AQ Niagara 5000 to Shunyata Denali 6000/S V2.

Once- PS Audio P5 —>> Shunyata Hydra Sigma S12

PS Audio P300, PPP, P5, P10, P20 >>> Shunyata Everest x 10.

Shunyata Hydra 4->Hydra 8->Triton V1 (9years)-> Denali 6000/S v2->Everest. Done. Adding a segmented Altaira system was the next big breakthrough, along with an Omega QR-s PC for the DAC, now the amazing Lumin P1. |
I have two Bryson BIT15s (on dedicated lines) and they were great units but I went all in last year and purchased an Everest. My BIT15s are now used elsewhere in the house while the Shunyata Everest takes care of the main system! Shunyata is making amazing products with sound science to back things up. Do yourself a favor and talk to Ivan… you’ll thank us later!
