tube upgrade worthwhile for MA 252?

I am new to "high end' audio having owned "modest" systems the past 45 years.Recently got a McIntosh MA 252 integrated amp which is a hybrid tube SS amplifier.Never owned tubes before....
Would there be any advantage to upgrading the tubes to achieve an even better sounding amp?If so what is the preferred(and most economical) way to go about this
Thanks everyone for your thoughts...

Gabe

A lot of people on this site (me included!) use the Gold Lion re-issue tubes with gold pins. They perform really well, are very reliable, and don’t cost an arm and a leg.

I second the Gold Lion. I had these when I had my MA252. Much better then the stock tubes.

Agreed. I just installed some Gold Lions in my 252 last week. They did make a nice difference.
