Vacuum Tube Logic of America, Inc. debuted the first MANLEY professional studio products at the 1990 AES show in Los Angeles, CA. We "lifers" here at Manley Labs, Baltazar, EveAnna, Saulo, Gamma, Paul, Humberto, Caro, Toto, Martin, and Maggie remember our whirlwind days in the 1990's working with David Manley, who started this all. We send our heartfelt condolences to his family: Luke, Simon, Megan, and to his wife, Véronique. Peace.

Memorial at CES: VTL room, Venetian Tower Suite 29-103, on Wednesday, January 9th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm

I did not know David Manley or his gear but thought this appropriate to a forum bearing his name.
Rest In Peace

So sorry to read this.
David Manley was one ofthe best gurus of tube audio electronics of the 20th century.
I am the very proud owner of a unit he designed with passion, the 300B Neo Classic preamp. The 300B sound is all about Pleasure and Excitement. The opposite of sterile HiFi. Each time I turn it on, I am rewarded by a fabulous and one of a kind sound that must be heard to understand. Like Shindo, very hard to describe in words.
To me, David was the american Shindo.
He was living in Paris but I never had the chance to meet him.

Rest In Peace David.
My deepest condolences to the family.
