What is the smallest piece of Sooloos I can buy in order to be able to connect my pair of DSP3100 to my core solos in another room.

in other words, I think I need one piece which has cat 5 to connect to my router and then coaxial digital out to my DSPs. Presumably i can then use my iPad to play music on the 2nd pair of speakers? Can the speakers have different music coming out simultaneously.

Funny, I use my Sooloos all the time but have not kept up with the latest products.

Thanks

I use the Media Source 200. It is very small just a bit large than a deck of cards. I use the analog out to connect to my whole house system. It also has digital outs to connect to Meridian speakers or a external DAC.

Jim, it seems to only have an optical out which is an issue since my DSP3100 have only coaxial in. :scratch2:

Funnily enough the Media Source 600 has coaxial out but no optical. The same with the Media Core 200. Typical. I wonder which is more the Media Source 600 or the Media Core 200?

It does have a Speakerlink out.

Ooops.. I see you cannot use Speakerlink and require coax.

I am not sure on the pricing of the MS600 but I think it is more than the MC200 which I love.

The Revivers are s/pdif+comms to Speakerlink adapters. Contact Robert and he will sort you out. Just mention you will want to use an MS200 with DSP3100 speakers.

Highend-Source

Thanks. Looks like just what I need. Or I could sell my DSP3100s and get a pair of 3200s but they are so much smaller i hesitate.

Anyone compared the two models or own a pair of 3200s?

I don't think you have anything to fear by going DSP3200.
But if you want some more omph the M6 is a nice choice if you can live with the phallos design. ;)

Wall mounted DSP3300 is also an option.

But for a small lounge area DSP3200 should do the job.

The M6 look nice but I will forever be thought of as a B&O convert :sigh:

I am surprised how little cost difference there is between the M6 and dsp3200s considering they look very different. Must go and have a listen.

Thanks

The M6 are lots of fun and deliver plenty of punch. Quite forgiving but with a nice big soundstage working well even if standing upright a bit further back.

DSP3200 are more traditional Meridian. I highly recommend a listen because these two speakers represent quite a different perspective on the music and can suit very different applications.
