You must have a different FedEx serving you than I.

Masterlu 03-19-2022 07:09 PM

Lucky I’m patient… Not! :D

Where are the gorillas? Lost sleep waiting on the unboxing :boring:

Masterlu 03-20-2022 11:10 AM

There is a Customs issue that is causing a delay. :smoking:

What's the import duties on these big heavy thing-a-ma-bobs? Percentage-wise I mean.

I don’t pay any import duties, Bryston handles that end.

FedEx screwed up the customs paperwork, so they were returned to Bryston. Now they are being sent to me the rightful owner. :p

Should be this week; they are at the FedEx hub. :smoking:

Logistics are a mess right now.

You're not kidding, but it seems to have hit FedEx particularly hard with packages never showing up on time. Don't even ask me what they did to my brother's Thorens TD1601.

Mack 03-29-2022 06:17 PM

The FedEx delivery person was instructed to go to the gym prior to the delivery….:D

Just received two separate deliveries from Japan (Kowa Prominar scope & eye-piece) and took each 6-days via DHL. Vaunted German efficiency, perhaps? Of all the delivery services today, Fedex has gone from the best to the worst in less than 3 years. Good luck with yours, Ivan.

And Fred Smith just stepped down. Yeah, I see where this is going.

Ivan,
Are these part of a new system or an addition to an existing one?

Add on to an existing system; if they ever arrive.

miner 04-01-2022 10:14 PM

The days of Pacific Stereo or CMC where you walk out with what the peddlers told you what you needed after asking what you came for, are over.

FreddieFerric 04-04-2022 12:01 PM

Has FedEx figured out what they did with your packages Ivan? Redirected them to Timbuktu perhaps? :dunno:

Masterlu 04-04-2022 12:10 PM

One just arrived.

It doesn't look too roughed up. So that's on the plus side I guess.

clpetersen 04-04-2022 02:40 PM

Nice floor! Maybe you could get that very large box out of the way so we could see more of it?

I remember when FedEx's slogan was, "When it absolutely, positively has to be there overnight."

Now, it's more like, "Better late than never."

Rtan 04-05-2022 12:24 PM

Patience Ivan. This is the norm now.
