JL Audio - Factory Fathom Upgrade V1 to V2
If interested FYI.....I spoke with JL Audio this morning about service for one of my Fathom F113 v1 subs and was told that JL offers an option for upgrading a Fathom (F113 in this instance) from V1 to V2 for $3,750. This would ship out and coordinate through your local authorized dealer, come back as a complete V2 (only using your existing cabinet), and have a 3 year factory warranty to boot. Seems to be a deal if you have the bug to upgrade to a V2 and save some cash:thumbsup:

Do they have the same for F112? I have the F113v2 in the music room but F112v1 in the HT room.

Is this factory upgrade program still ongoing?

The right F112v1 in the home theater died about a month ago. May have been from a storm. I have sent to JL Audio (had to go through a local dealer but turns out will be a good resource to know) and they will be updating from the V1 to the V2. Cost is pretty steep though. I shipped the whole sub and they will replace everything except the cabinet. That includes a new woofer and all innards. :)

Good data. Hope update exceeds expectations.

Hi all, I have a chance to get a used F110 V2, however it is a bit shall I say strange that the front fascia of the sub didn't mention V2, while the back of the sub does has the V2 logo on it?
Referencing JL Audio's website, both the front and back of the sub should have V2 on it, is it possible that this sub just had the amp pack replaced? |

That’s my guess. My F112’s both show V2 on the front & back. Have you asked the seller? |

I received mine about a year ago and I just looked last night. They have the V2 on front and back.
Maybe request the serial number and contact JL Audio to find out if that serial number was originally a V1? |
