It's that time of the year. I'm a sucker for holiday music. I admit it and I love to listen through my MR87. Please post a note and a pic (if possible) if you own a Mac tuner or any other tuner for that matter.

Best

Charles

My fourth Mc Tuner (MR80) is in storage, and needs service.

Beautiful gear! MR78, MR77, and last pic MR74. Am I correct? I owned a Nac Dragon for a long time. Wished I never sold it. Mac wood cabinets are gorgeous as are the wood racks. Takes my breath away. Really does.

Charles....thanks. You're correct on the model numbers. My Nakamichi Dragon hasn't worked in a long time, unfortunately. When the photo in my post was taken, it at least would light up. Now, it won't even do that. Over the years, I've kept saying I would have it restored, but other projects always took priority. Earlier this year, I was about to act on it, but the tech I was going to send it to said he wouldn't work on units with serial numbers as early as mine. :sigh:

I echo Charles' sentiments. Beautiful gear. I have the BD 205 and 203 as well. Love those Oppo's.

The Mc tuners are super nice and amazing that at this date they still make a tuner separate. I've been getting along with the tuner in my Marantz 2240B.

FreddieFerric....I love the Oppo's as well. The picture of my Vintage Florida Room system is a bit dated (the system with the MR77 Tuner). It shows a BDP-103. That system now has the BDP-105D that used to be in my primary system, which now has the UDP-205. The BDB-103 is now in my office system. I have a total of 4 Oppo units: BDP-103, BDP-105D, UDP-203, and UDP-205. All great units.

I've got an MR88 and MR-74 (currently in storage). Both are amazing tuners!

I bought my Mac tuner in 1980. Although my system has evolved a lot since then, the Mac remains.

I have many choices when I listen to my system - streaming, CD/SACD/DVD, LP, tape. Yet there's still room for a tuner and I still listen to FM.

No system is complete without a tuner, IMO.

Agreed! And I know from our discussions that our old friend Dan felt the same way.
