Happy Thanksgiving Ivan and all of my AA friends.

It'll be a quiet day at home. Just my wife and I, but she's prepared a genuine feast for us tomorrow. Will be spinning some tunes during the day and then it's Planes, Trains & Automobiles in the evening. :thumbsup:

Gathering with a dozen+ members of the family, including our 95yr-old family matriarch. Always good to get together as we are politically like-minded, so no arguments and such. My cousin (our host) and I do the cooking. Will start around 8 a.m. in the morning (after this week's shopping).
A safe and happy Thanksgiving to all.

Edit: We decided to bake the pies this evening (cherry - my fav, pecan & pumpkin) to get them out of the way. Sister & niece showed up in time for dinner (I made a meat pie yesterday that we reheated). An enjoyable evening.

Outstanding comments; any others want to share?

We'll be driving up the coast from the L.A. area to be with my wife's extended family--in other words, I'll be hanging out with descendants of John D. Lee, for the Mormon/history buffs among us. The conversation will be a little bit politics about which we all agree, but mostly movies and books and my brother-in-law's latest inventions. The food will be a mixture of traditional American Thanksgiving dishes with Swedish sides and some of the best wine California has to offer. And I'm almost sure the sun will be shining. I hope everyone on AA has a peaceful and pleasant day.

Have a great Thanksgiving, everyone. I'm headed to Berlin for the holiday weekend.

My wife and I will be part of a group that will be serving a Thanksgiving meal to about 60 people who are in various stages of recovery. This will be our second year volunteering for this and it is a very moving experience.
