Digital noob needs help
 

Greetings all, I am currently running a Cocktail Audio X40 from its aes/EBU digital output to a Denefrips Pontus II. The x40 has three USB 2.0 (host) ports. Is it possible to use one of these USB ports to attach a laptop and apply digital eq using jriver etc. then out to the Pontus II? Not sure what level of USB port is required for that. If this is not possible, is there any way to go from the AES/EBU digital output on the x40 to a laptop using some sort of adapter?

I would say no to all your questions. The USB Host ports are for connecting USB drives.
