Aerial 25T

My source tells me that Aerial will introduce the Aerial 25T in about a year. There are supposed to have a deeper bass.

paulphoosreal 12-02-2016 06:51 PM

The next Aerial coming out will be the 12T followed by the 25T. As I'm an Aerial dealer I do get a smidgen of info now and then. [emoji56]
That being said. If you're after more bass add subs. I have 7Ts with JL Audio E110s and have no desire to upgrade speakers. YMMV

Paul - if you know, would the 12T be a (much) newer upgrade of the classic 10T? Always loved that speaker, one of the classics.

Hi Buck. The 25 will be a 2 part speaker like the 10s. The 12 will be a one cabinet design. The 25 will have new construction materials not used before. It's going to be one heck of a speaker!

Forte 4A 12-03-2016 10:28 AM

I was recently told by a source close to Aerial that Michael has made a big order for parts to build the 25T. I remember about a year ago when Michael was at my local dealer giving a demo of the 5T in addition to the new models he was also thinking of a Special Edition 7T.

paulphoosreal 12-03-2016 02:52 PM

The SE edition will have a different tweeter being used as well as other custom components parts.
How much of a difference in SQ remains to be seen.
The 7Ts are already awesome!

GreginNH1 12-12-2016 06:49 PM

Concrete heads for the 25T! Sounds like fun! It's all I can do to lug my 7Ts up the stairs! :D

Forte 4A 12-13-2016 09:06 AM

Just call John & Mark. They'll be happy to do the heavy lifting.:banana:

parsifalcor 09-20-2017 08:25 PM

Any news on the 25T or the 12T? Thread seems to have died down...no news on the Aerial website, either!

Yamaki 09-20-2017 09:11 PM

We probably won't hear anything for a while yet.

They play things pretty close to the vest at Aerial, which is OK by me, then when Michael feels the time is right and when the product is ready, here it comes. There's never much hype or premature news on their site about new models.

Look for them next June. :)

paulphoosreal 09-20-2017 09:14 PM

Agreed. Could be sooner [emoji23]

GreginNH1 10-11-2018 11:22 AM

Looks like January 2019. I am anxiously awaiting!

Luxman38 10-21-2018 12:08 PM

This is Michael's Statement Speaker. It should be quite special. Looking forward to hearing it.

Luxman38 10-26-2018 08:48 AM

Talked to the dealer at Audio Video Therapy and he said that Michael will have a prototype built in December. He's been invited to hear it. No plans for a January release. Maybe a few more months down the line. Depends on how the listening session goes.

Aerial Sub

Switching subjects, I have a pair of 10Ts and a powered sub woofer which I am sure is also discontinued. It worked great for several years, but has recently gone non-operative. The thing weighs a ton. Does anyone know where I can get this worked on without having to ship it?

Background: I bought this system as part of a home theater back in 2001-2002. I had Theta electronics (CD drive, Casablanca and Dreadnought) all was great for 10 years, then the CD drive crashed, followed by the Casablanca. The Dreadnought is still going strong.

Basilfudge... Welcome to AA!

PS: this is an Aerial 25T thread.

Luxman38 01-20-2019 01:23 PM

Michael Kelly was at Audio Video Therapy this past Thursday. He is in the process of ordering the parts for the 25T. It will hit the market in the Summer. One surprise the new 25T will have a new and improved Ribbon Tweeter. Originally the ribbon was out in this new version but apparently he found an improved ribbon over what he used in the 20T.

Knowing Michael, this long wait will be worth it!

Any mention of a 12T? A couple of years ago I was under the impression that the order of introduction was going to be a 12T followed by the 25T, but I guess his plans have changed.

Luxman38 01-24-2019 09:31 AM

I'm sure he's concentrating on the 25T which has been a long road to development. The other model will probably come next.

Masterlu 01-24-2019 01:08 PM

Mike is a super guy, but his website still shows the 20T V2 as current. They have been discontinued for over 3 years.

Luxman38 01-25-2019 10:07 AM

I don't think he does that Theater One either.

Apparently Michael has changed the name of his flagship speaker. It's now called the 30T.:confused

Has anyone found out any information on this new flagship? I haven't seen any press or anything.

I won’t start any rumors, but it clearly isn’t a good sign when a manufacturer delays their Flagship speaker going on 4 years. :sigh:

Yamaki 03-24-2019 03:03 PM

I love the guy to death but I swear that Michael has turned his company into a hobby.

I was curious about the timing as well, it's no secret that most high end manufacturers right now can't wait to get a flagship model out there. I would assume that Aerial would sell a bunch of 'em if they were quality loudspeakers which I'm sure they will be.

+1

GreginNH1 03-26-2019 06:39 PM

It’s a long story but according to my sources, Micheal has found a much better tweeter for his new flagship. This has been the major reason for the latest delay.

I heard this too, but quite some time ago. :scratch2:

Famester V1 05-02-2019 09:51 AM

I would love to see a new flagship Aerial.
Certainly love mine

Masterlu 07-20-2019 09:02 AM

Coming up on 6 years behind schedule. :umm:

murphyb74 07-22-2019 10:05 AM

Back in June, I read on another forum that the latest delay was due to problems with the quality of the cabinets. I also read that this flagship model will be called the 30T.

Masterlu 07-22-2019 11:31 AM

Google search for Aerial 30T :D
