Grilling Shish Kabobs Tonight
I don't make these often enough. Here's the Shish Kabobs headed for the grill tonight. Top sirloin, whole garlic cloves, red onion, tomatoes, corn on the cob, zucchini, mushrooms, and yellow squash.

Dan... Yum indeed; I'll be right over! :running:

Looks delish. Would love to see the cooked version of that

Interesting to have the corn on there! Looks wonderful.

Looks like it will be delicious!
I like the whole garlic cloves on the skewer. |

I basted the shish kabobs with melted butter on the grill, rotating the scewers about every three minutes. The corn gets lightly charred in spots. I got them off the heat just as the sirloin reached medium rare. They were delicious. |

Simon.......I hear you. :p

My wife loves me to grill vegetables on shish kabobs but it drives me nuts that it is so hard to rotate them without half of the veggies turning and the other half circle around. :damnit: Also I inevitably get burned from trying to turn them. So okay you master grillers. What tools and technique make you successful?

Jim.......As you can see from my photo, I pack everything on the skewer quite snug. This helps a lot to keep veggies from refusing to rotate. Using long tong utensils works best for me. Another way to grill shish kabobs and make rotating easy is to use two skewers per kabob.
