Sony TA-F6B and PS-X75

Back from a full restoration is my Sony TA-F6B. Full recap (including 105C caps in the power supply) plus a new Alps volume pot (took 3-mon to source from Alps in Japan). New caps do wonders for vintage gear. Sounds great. Will post a better pic of the TA-F6B (hidden at the bottom) and matching TA-A6B tuner once I get everything better organized after the new install.

Also, picked up a near-mint PS-X75 servo-controlled TT from the same era. Steve Leung installed my OM30 Super and it is an excellent match for the TA-F6B.

Very nice gear. I do love Sony vintage gear. I enjoy a lot my TA-F700. It does have
classy looks that don't appear to age and has plenty of power for very close listening
in my office. I did all the recap myself a year ago, but haven't changed the relays.
That would be for a future project.

Very nice - I am in process of refurbishin my TA-6FB and have also a faulty volume pot. Would you be able to share the exact details of the one you ordered from Alps.

I did not do the work. You can ask Steve Leung or his son at VAS in Cliffwood, NJ. It was a several week wait for it to be shipped from Japan, but was not a problem for him to source.
