Rega P10...

Thanks all. The Technics is intriguing - I will check it out carefully. Certainly iconic.

Yes, a great option. |

The amount of detail a P10 extracts from the record grooves is absolutely astonshing. And, like all Regas, it's simple to set up, it WORKS, and it NEVER breaks. I can see why Harley Lovegrove decided to go with one. If I were shopping for TT, that's what I would do. Job done. |
Rega dealer too! ;)

Harley Lovegrove's vids on the Rega P10. Harley, as a recording engineer, knows a thing or two about this... https://youtu.be/VCAhllcc_Ew https://youtu.be/0qWVWnxVJsU The Rega P10 I had in house for review. LOVED it...OMG. https://photos.imageevent.com/puma_c...-Planar-10.jpg |

Thanks all - all great options. I was looking at the Rega 8, did not think the 10 was in-budget. Lots to ponder. The VPI is beautiful but might be slightly massive for our set-up.

https://www.stereophile.com/content/...200g-turntable Ivan can help you on the Rega. If you are certain you will stay with an MM the P6 would fit the bill. If you want to step-up to an MC, then the P8, and, especially the P10, would be the way to go. |
