Pick me an integrated...

$1000 or less, new or used.

For a client. We got a Peachtree Decco2, which rocked - for a month. Then the amps FRIED. Needless to say it's going back tomorrow for return.

Powering Klipsch RF-something's, floorstanding speakers (1 horn tweeter, 2x 6-8" drivers).

USB input would be a plus, but not a requirement. Digital coax input(s) would be a huge plus, but also not a dead set requirement.

E.......I have read some good things about the new Creek Audio Evolution 2. It lists for $1100, but you may find it cheaper. No USB, but excellent specs, plus MM and MC inputs.

I have zero need for phono or tuner.

Nice looking, though. May need to take it for a run.

E.......Creek has been producing some very nice products at attractive price levels for quite some time. Trying to stay in the $1K arena and deliver top notch performace with a decent power reserve is not that easy to do. I think the Creek Evolution 2 fits the criteria well.

I've had my eye on that Creek lately too.

Mike.......I can see why you're interested. There is a lot to like about this integrated amp. It even has HT pass-thru. The specs are quite impressive, and it can be ordered in silver or black.

Slightly over budget. Probably closer to it if used or demo. Covers all the bases...all in one unit.

Brian.......The Bel Canto C5i looks good, especially if the digital features appeal to you. Great suggestion.
