How much are those racks now?

Hi Ivan,
Do you own or have any experience with Quadraspire racks? The reason I'm asking is I've always been curious about them in that Quadraspire takes an intrinsically different approach than other rack mfrs, e.g. HRS and Core Audio, etc.

In some respects, they remind me of how Rega takes an intrinsically different approach to TT design with very low mass but very stiff plinths, whereas the other TT manufacturers, e.g. Clearaudio, Kronos, etc., place an emphasis on things like elaborate Panzerholz plinths and "shelves", etc, that have a lot of "mass".

Just wondering if you have any direct experience with them. Cheers and thanks!

I own multiple Quadraspire Racks, and really like them. For the money IMO they can’t be beat.

Every single Quadraspire Rack is a custom configured/built rack; so it’s impossible to quote a price.

Stephen, I'm on the 3rd or 4th reconfiguration of my second Quadraspire rack. I really like them. They can handle some weight (my D'Agostino are not exactly light), are stable, and highly configurable. There are several different post heights available so you can vary the shelf heights, and options like bronze spikes for the top shelf on the SVT rack. I've purchased additional posts of differing heights in the past to adjust to changing equipment, which was very handy. The entry level Q4 EVO is OK, but I wouldn't go for less than the SVT (what I have). I'm sure the X Reference is awesome but it's too wide for my setup so haven't tried that. I did have a mild resonance problem with my Rega P10 on the top shelf, but an HRS platform (courtesy of Ivan) tamed it. That may have had something to do with location as well.

There is a nice "Product Builder" tool on their website that let's you choose rack type, wood and color, and shelf heights so you can see what a finished rack to your specifications would look like. You can probably figure roughly $5-600 per shelf, maybe $2-2.5k for a 4 shelf SVT rack. I'm not familiar with the X Ref pricing - a premium over the SVT of course, but Quadraspire prices tend not to be exorbitant.

Hi Steven, that picture I posted the other day is the SVT double. I got it from Ivan. I am very happy with it.

Ivan, Kenny, and Rob,
Thank you very much for the detailed info. That is very helpful. Cheers, guys.

I’ve also got the SVT double bamboo rack as well as an EVO 4 with various column heights for when I change gear in and out. I’ve found the SVT double rack very good and flexible to use…I did upgrade the standard spike feet and from memory they made a small difference but are a much nicer look…the weight capacity is also awesome for the vast majority of gear.
