N100H 'unrecognized files'
I have about 66 FLAC files that show up as 'unrecognized files' on my iPad Aurender app. It drives me nuts that I can't fix this. I have used MP3tag and deleted all the existing tags then recreated the tags with MP3tag but that didn't make any difference.
If I browse my Aurender by folder they show up. As a workaround, I have been creating a playlist of the 'folder' selection but the files never show up under Artist or Album. There are about 26,000 titles in total on my Aurender and I only have difficulty with these 66. Thanks in advance for any help. |
maybe try converting the files to ALAC or Vorbis or similar (and then back again to FLAC if you want)- could be something amiss in the FLAC header that Aurender does not like. Can you re-rip them? can anything else read them correctly?

This seemed like such an obvious solution so I converted all the FLAC files to AIF using DBpoweramp and didn't even bother to convert them back. Aurender still flagged them as 'unrecognized' on a new scan.
Before I copied the AIF files back to the Aurender, I deleted the FLAC files on the Aurender to make sure they were not included in the scan. |
Have you contacted Aurender for advice?

I'd prefer to do a little sleuthing and troubleshooting first, that's just a part of my nature. Aurender is a good resort so thanks for your suggestion.
