Vintage Electronics Repair Techs
1 Attachment(s)
Can anyone recommend a really good (fully competent) repair tech that knows his way around vintage gear?
At some point I want to send my Marantz 2240B in for a re-cap and full service. She still runs well, but takes a bit of time to adequately warm up and get her blood flowing. At nearly 50 years of age her caps can't last forever I reckon. https://www.audioaficionado.org/atta...8&d=1654288913 |

Mike Williams at Radio X in Flint, MI would ge a good choice for any piece of gear with a tuner in it it.
hifitechATcomcast.net (replace AT with an @ sign), or call him at (810) 919-6562. |
^^ I like your persistence, but the boys in Vegas would say you're making your point the hard way. :D
I have your recommendation duly noted. |
Mike mostly specializes in tuners only, you may be in for a long wait if you want a full service on a receiver from him. He is definitely one of the best in the biz for tuner alignments, restorations and mods though.
