Speaker cable Length
1 Attachment(s)
Opinions wanted, do you think it would be better to hide the cable in the stand as is currently in photo, which would result in 10 ft lengths, for go the direct route (6 footer or 2 meter) In the stand obviously looks cleaner but would only be slightly visible before going behind the desk. Leaning towards 6ft/2M for obvious performance/cost advantages...

There won’t be any performance advantage using good aftermarket cables between 6’ over 10’ IMO.

Hiding cables, priceless. :p

For speaker cables I would always prefer the shortest possible, i couldn’t care less about hiding, but if the wife gets in the way, that is a different issue.

I agree, I think I will probably wind up going shorter and get better quality cables. |
Tonight I will shorten the temporary cables I'm using until I decide to 2M and see if it's long enough and how they look. I want to replace the banana plugs on them anyway, not crazy about them.

Redid them at 6 foot, still looks pretty clean. Attachment 56277

Moved amp underneath, cables look really noticeable now. Definitely want to run in stands. Not sure any thicker cables, or ones with splitter blocks like wireworld would fit. Has to make a really aggressive bend as it exits the stand on bottom. Anyone try this?
