No traditional manual in that sense.

There are some guides that come with each unit on refreshing how to rip within Silenzio and such. Otherwise Roon and JRiver both have vast online wikis that can be read ad nauseam - making an in-house version of that would be non-beneficial.

Remember that each Silenzio user is trained one-on-one on how to maximize usage and become a pro user. In essence, you become your own manual over time. ;)

Thanks so much E.

No need for a manual when E will answer your concerns one on one. Top notch service. Great product. Fantastic price.

Thanks Tim!

My main reason for a manual was to get a better understanding about the unit. For example there are bunch of inputs/outputs? What are inputs and what are outputs and what are they used for typically? The BD slot is it used for ripping only or can you view BD's

I told you I was a novice. 😎

Primary function is to rip.

Like all spinners when it is active it makes noise so using it for direct playback sort of defeats the purpose of a truly dead silent media server.

What is the USB card utilized by the Silenzio? Could it be made with a JCAT USB Card with FEMTO clock on the output side? Other (better?) USB cards? I would like to eliminate as much PC noise as possible without the use of "doo-dad's" attached to the USB cables.

Could it include an I2S HDMI output to use with PS Audio DAC's?

The dedicated USB PCIe card in Silenzio is based off of a NEC chipset with a dedicated power rail input (from the internal PSU).

If you wanted the JCAT, I can make it happen.

Same with I2S: the only I2S bridge out there I know of is with Pink Faun, and they also have the OCXO module that can be added.

Bump... Still on Gen 3.X however now 8TB built-in SSDs are available as an option for Silenzio.

The primary OS drive remains separate and now a 250GB NVMe PCIe drive (super fast, super tiny, and of course, silent).
