Harbeth users check in
So, for what is renowned as one of the most musical speakers ever, we see to have very few users here...
I just ordered some Compact 7es3's to add to my now beloved Luxman 590 A-II Let's hear from other owners. |
Nice combo and in my small room they are just wright. If I had a larger room I'd be looking at the M30 or M40 as the 7es3's seem a bit light on the bottom end. But all in all the Harbeth's are a good match for the Luxman.

Love 'em!

So you have Latours and Harbeth... which do you listen to and when? |
I have some SHL5s with my Leben CS600, and they're great. I plan on moving to a Monbrison/Montrachet combo soonish so we shall see how they go with Shindo.
|
I had the SHL5's and Luxman D 05 / 550A II combo. Was very nice. Found the 5's needed a little welly to get the most out of them: they liked decoupling from their stands - or so I found.
Hard to get to sound bad; hard to get to sound great IMHO. The Luxxies make them sound great IMHO. |
I'd like to see a set of P3ESRs in a bookshelf wall.

I love a room lined with bookshelves and a pair of quality monitors tastefully tucked on the shelves. |

I actually don't have the Latour. I have the Lafite and use them now in my main system. I use the C7es-3s in a second system with a Brio R and an Oppo 95. The desire for an all Shindo system hit me and I replaced the C-7s with the Lafite. The Cortese was really not enough power for the Harbeths, even though my listening room is small. 12x13 Regards, Bill BTW, I really covet your 301 system. I'm awfully tempted at some point to order one from Matt. He tells me I'll think something is wrong with my current TT once I replace it with the Shindo. |

Wonderfull! |
Harbeth C7ES3 owner here. I’ve been through B&W, Mission, KEF and Spendor. I love my Harbeths. Mostly jazz with classical thrown in for good measure. Then there’s the 70’s and 80’s rock. They do everything well.

A speaker you can live with for the rest of your life. |
Can’t help imaging what would happen if you added a subwoofer or two...

Well played Sir... (Thumbs up)

While I have moved on from Harbeth, I must admit that it is one on the few speakers I really enjoyed thoroughly. They have just enjoying the music instead of analyzing the sound.

SHL5 Plus XD!

SimAudio Moon 260 transport > Denafrips Pontus DAC > Hegel h160 Integrated amp > Harbeth 30.1 speakers Very happy with the (newly developed) system, and expect it to improve, perhaps substantially, after I move into a larger home later this year. |
